The result is a game that looks quite unlike anything else that Ubisoft puts out, especially today. One of them is Ubisoft’s Child of Light, a game that merges traditional RPG gameplay with hand-drawn, fairy-tale-inspired visuals. The Wii U was never an RPG powerhouse though there’s definitely a handful of role-playing gems on the system. And while yes, you can play this on Switch – it’s an excellent Wii U eShop experience. This forces you to make calls on the fly to try to get to the front of the pack and ramps up the intensity considerably. Fast Racing NEO is a game that feels just as fast and frenetic as Nintendo’s own offerings but adds in some light strategy elements as you change your vehicle’s polarity. That’s thanks almost entirely to Shin’en Multimedia and the excellent Fast Racing games released for the Wii, Wii U, and Switch. But while I’m sure many would love to see Captain Falcon and the gang come back (I sure would) it’s not all doom and gloom for gamers who want to go FAST. Let’s face it, we’re not getting a new F-Zero game any time soon. Oh, and Charles Martinet is the narrator. It’s a weird-looking game for sure, but one that plays wonderfully, with the same tight controls that fans of BIT.TRIP were accustomed to. Featuring a more cartoony and flesh-out look, the game reminds me of a lot of old cartoons like Ren & Stimpy but in 3D. While Runner 2 plays very similarly to the original but the art style is out of this world. BIT.TRIP Presents: Runner 2: Future Legend Of Rhythm Alien was a launch title for the Wii U, showing that from day one this was going to be an oddball of a console.
